Reviews Susan Veldkamp Academy
My biggest challenge was creating a role for sustainable employability within our organization - and stepping into it myself. Thanks to Susan, I learned step by step how to approach this. Her concrete plan and focus on my beliefs led to a major mindset shift.
The group coaching sessions were incredibly valuable; I gained so much from the questions and experiences of others. The real breakthrough came when I realized that I am good enough as I am. That gave me peace of mind and the courage to not just think, 'What do I want?' but to actually go for it.
Now, I dare to speak up, take the lead, and actively choose what I want. Recently, I shared my vision with my manager and positioned myself for a new role. With more self-confidence and inner peace, I’m now pursuing my dreams!
I knew exactly what I wanted, but time and again, I stayed silent because I didn’t dare voice my ambition at every level.
Working with Susan felt like a breath of fresh air, as she understood exactly what I needed through her own experience.
The real breakthrough came when I decided to commit to this journey—without hesitation, no matter the outcome. Now, I’m no longer stuck in the ‘how’. I just go, and I’m noticing that things are falling into place naturally.
For a long time, I felt like I had lost control over my life and career, but thanks to the program, I’ve finally become the best version of myself again.
Susan helped me find more joy in life and trust in who I am and who I want to be. Now, I claim my place in my field with confidence because I know I’m worth it. It feels FAN-TAS-TIC to finally be able to say: I love MYSELF!
I always thought positioning was about having a 'shine moment,' like I had to step on stage to make an impression.
But through this program, I learned that it means so much more: it’s about seizing my moment so that my skills are recognized.
The most important insight? I deserve to showcase myself so that management and colleagues see my value, and that has a direct, positive impact on my career. Thanks to the program, I now see that positioning yourself is the key to more appreciation and career opportunities.
I was tired of always working so hard without anyone noticing. Despite all my efforts, it felt like no one really saw what I was capable of.
Thanks to the program, I learned to apply my insights at the right moments, which immediately gave me more control over situations. The hard work is still there, but now with results – I’m being noticed.
My biggest wish was to finally do something with an idea that had been on the shelf for years: WingWoman.
Working with Susan was different, especially because of her encouragement, attention, and constructive feedback. I really noticed progress when she pointed out an opportunity to speak—the first time I presented myself as WingWoman.
Now, it’s busy managing everything and finding time for further development, but I know this investment will pay off in 2025.
Susan coaches with genuine attention and respect for every woman, regardless of her life or career stage. She gives motivating feedback in a way that encourages and inspires.
My biggest challenge was that in various roles across different companies, I kept running into the same problem: the work drained more energy than it gave me. I often found myself surrounded by 'loudmouths' who managed to cash in on their mediocre work. It frustrated me endlessly. I had already decided to move to another company, but I wanted to learn how to position myself better—without becoming one of those 'loudmouths.'
When I previously tried to solve my challenge, the frustration ran deep. It felt like I was stepping into the same trap, no matter the role or company. I had explored many technical solutions—consulting skills, project management—but none gave me the answer I was looking for.
What was truly different about working with Susan was that it clicked right away. After the mini-training, I knew: this is probably exactly what I need! The training, podcasts, and coaching sessions were relatable and eye-opening. And then? When I started at a new organization, I noticed I was positioning myself much more consciously. It felt almost natural—suddenly, it clicked.
Now, in my new job, I do things my way. It doesn’t feel forced, and I can see the impact. The best part? I enjoy it, and my work now energizes me instead of draining me.
Before I met Susan, I had already taken several training programs to develop myself, but none of them truly resonated with me as a person. After each one, it felt like I had learned behaviors that didn’t fit me well and didn’t stick. I was looking for a program that would make me stronger and more confident, without losing myself in the process.
What was really different about working with Susan is her unique approach. She’s unlike any coach I’ve had before. Her positivity, energy, and approach are incredibly uplifting and contagious. For the first time, I regained confidence in a training program.
The moment I realized it was really starting to work came about 3 to 4 weeks after our first meeting. I caught myself thinking, 'I’ve actually been enjoying my work lately!' I had no idea work could be so fun!
Now, my work life is completely different. My reactions and emotions at work have changed. I’ve learned to focus on my strengths instead of trying to be equally good at everything—even the tasks I don’t find interesting or am not great at. By concentrating on my strengths, I feel so much more energized!
Thank you so much, dear Susan!
When my position was eliminated due to a reorganization, I knew I wanted to keep my place, but with a new, challenging role.
What really helped was brainstorming with Susan about how best to approach the situation. We discussed strategies together, I received practical and useful tips, and she gave me the support I needed during the stressful moments. And most importantly: I was encouraged to actually take action!
Because the program lasts six months, it became a habit. I didn’t just learn how to achieve my goals, but also how to maintain this way of thinking.
Quite early in the program, I had already reached my main goal. But even after that, I kept learning so much about myself. The most important thing? I’m incredibly satisfied and happy with the step I took. I’ve become much more aware of what positioning can bring me and how I can do it from my own strength and authentic self."
I felt restless and misunderstood, constantly wondering why others didn’t see my potential, even though I was doing more than my colleagues for the same salary. That frustration built up and sometimes came out as anger—towards others and myself.
Working with Susan was completely different because she gave me a broader perspective. I started discovering things I hadn’t noticed before. The moment I really made progress was when I applied for a job I had previously thought was out of reach—and to my surprise, I was invited for interviews. I also began to speak up more, both at work and in my personal life.
The most important thing? My (work) life feels more enjoyable now, and I feel more confident. I dare to get more out of life and be myself. I’ve become aware of my strength as a woman and can quickly recognize situations where I’m at risk of losing myself. Now, I know how to adjust my communication to clearly set boundaries and express my vision.
Even though the training was online, it felt personal and was incredibly helpful when I was applying for jobs and preparing for interviews.
Before I started working with Susan, I really struggled to find focus. I wanted to know what my expertise was and how I could make a difference for others, but it felt like my to-do list just kept growing with unrelated tasks.
What was truly different about working with Susan was how refreshing it was to dive deep into one theme.
With other support, I often got concrete, practical tips on how to approach things. But during Susan’s coaching day, we went deeper into ourselves. That led to a real shift: less thinking, more feeling. It was exactly what I needed.
The moment I realized it was working was right after the coaching day. Suddenly, I found myself on a completely different path than I had expected—a path much closer to who I truly am, instead of what I thought I should do. It became crystal clear a month later when I realized that everything I wanted had come true. Within a month—unbelievable!
Now, I have so much more peace in my mind. I’ve become a better mother, wife, and person. I’m clearer about what’s important to me and what choices I need to make. I’m no longer searching for meaningless distractions and am living much more in the moment.
I wanted to feel more at ease during meetings or gatherings and have the courage to take up space. But there was always that little voice in my head whispering that what I had to say wasn’t really important. That voice was often stronger than my desire to speak up, and afterward, I’d be really frustrated with myself.
What immediately stood out about working with Susan was that you’re given the freedom to work at your own pace, with ups and downs. Everything is okay, and you’re allowed to do it in a way that suits you.
The biggest change came from the reassurance and the courage to try things out—something I hadn’t dared to do before.
The most important thing? I now feel more comfortable showing myself and being more visible in the organizations I work for. That feels great. I’m not there yet—it’s an ongoing process—but that’s completely okay.
Sometimes you meet someone who says exactly the right things, completely changing how you see the world—and yourself. That’s what happened to me. Susan pushed me to take steps I never thought were possible. She showed me that I had so much more in me than I ever believed.
The result? I took a step, in the right direction. And it didn’t just feel good—it made me want more. Since then, each step has followed the next, and I feel more joy, more fulfillment, and, most importantly, more appreciation for myself. And it hasn’t gone unnoticed—even those around me say they like me more!
What I also notice is that opportunities others had seen for a while—like collaboration, building relationships, or even career advancements—are now openly discussed. We no longer assume what the other person may think; we talk about everything together. This has positively transformed my relationships.
The most important thing? Not only in my direct contact with Susan but in how her perspective has enriched my world, every choice and every conversation now feels more vibrant. It’s like receiving a beautiful gift from an amazing woman who passionately wants to make the world a better place. In my opinion, she’s succeeding completely.
My biggest wish was to take up space in my work while finding a balance between promoting myself and staying humble. But despite all the theory and insights from previous training and coaching, I often found myself still unseen or unheard. That feeling of invisibility kept nagging at me.
What’s so great about working with Susan is that, as a woman, she completely understands the dynamics you sometimes encounter in the workplace. She knows what you’re dealing with and how best to navigate it.
The most important thing? I’m now learning more and more to recognize and hold onto the moments when I can trust that things are going well, and that it’s okay as it is. I now dare to consciously take up the space I’ve always deserved.
I always tried to convince others by working extremely hard. Often, I’d position myself ‘above’ or ‘below’ them, but that only backfired and led to frustration.
Last week, I had to negotiate for my sustainability role. This time, I stayed true to myself and followed the steps from the training. And it worked—I got exactly what I had envisioned.
Susan’s motivation and insights played a big role in this.
Now that I’m applying and strengthening this process more and morDuurzaamheidsadviseure, I can see the benefits for both myself—my health, how I feel, and how empowered I am—and for the organization.
The most important thing? I now have more clarity in situations, I can take a step back, and I see much more clearly what I can contribute and what I can’t.
I dreamed of starting an online shop with personally made and designed products. But that dream stayed on the shelf for too long. Why? Because I didn’t know how to start and was afraid of how others would react. The fear of standing out, of sticking my head above the crowd, kept me trapped.
That completely changed after the first lesson of the online training. Suddenly, I felt different. I realized: I’m allowed to be seen. In fact, I’m allowed to stand out! For the first time, I had a clear vision of my goal and dared to embrace it.
The most important thing? I’m no longer holding myself back. I’m now fully focused on launching my online shop, and it feels amazing. Where I was once stuck in fear and doubt, I’m now happily busy and confidently working to make my dream a reality.
I wanted to finally make my desires and strengths a priority and share them, but somehow they always seemed to fade into the background. It frustrated me that I kept putting my own needs aside for others, without truly making space for what I wanted.
What makes this program different is that the focus is on the process, not just the end result. That was exactly what I needed.
Even though I haven’t finished the training yet, it’s already sinking in: I am my priority. I’m starting to think more in terms of possibilities rather than limitations.
The most important thing? This training was exactly the push I needed to claim my own space.
Recovering from burnout and feeling like I couldn’t position myself strongly enough—that was my struggle. I wanted to stand firm and learn to trust myself more, but it always felt like I wasn’t being heard. I just couldn’t break through that. And the same thought kept coming back: I’m just not good enough… I thought it was all my fault.
That frustration kept growing, until I took Susan’s training. What immediately struck me was how clearly she made me see that I am allowed to take my place. That I have the right to claim it and no longer need to listen to the inner ‘good girl’ holding me back.
The most important thing? Through Susan’s guidance, I now stand stronger. I claim my space—no excuses. I can feel, in every way, that I’m finally allowed to choose myself. And for me, that means I now dare to make decisions from the heart—even if it means going in a completely different direction.
I’m now following my own path, with confidence.
I was full of good ideas, but I rarely voiced them. And when I finally did, someone else always ran off with them. That had to change—not just to see my ideas come to life, but to reclaim my self-worth.
I constantly criticized myself for not being brave enough. But that endless self-criticism backfired—it only made me more insecure, even though I desperately wanted change.
Then I discovered Susan’s approach. Her explanations and tips are based on proven psychological principles, combined with techniques like manifestation and visualization. She doesn’t just help you become more aware of your behavior; she also teaches you how to train your subconscious. Her examples are clear and practical. What really struck me was her enthusiasm and drive—she inspires you to take action, and that’s exactly what I needed.
Thanks to Susan, I got to know myself better and could literally feel my blind spots. That awareness gave me the strength to take targeted steps, and I immediately noticed the effects.
Now, my life is so much more relaxed. I’m more myself, and I can see how powerful that is. By speaking up and showing myself more, I create more connection and synergy with colleagues. Instead of standing opposite people, I’m now standing alongside them. That brings a great, positive energy.
And the best part? Things now seem to come my way almost effortlessly.
I was tired of always hearing ‘no’ and shrinking myself while others got the opportunities. That feeling of not being good enough frustrated me deeply.
Now, I consciously step into the role of a leader and stand up for myself. Where I used to prioritize others, I now start from what I want.
The funny thing is, even that annoying ‘pancake video’ helped me—I’m now applying the lesson from it at work.
The most important thing? I no longer let myself be overshadowed. I dare to truly claim my space and take steps in the direction that feels right for me.
