The theme of self-sabotage. It’s something we all do, knowingly or not, and it often holds us back from realizing our full potential. In this episode, I’ll share a story from one of my mini trainings, where a participant had a breakthrough moment about her own self-sabotaging habits—and what it takes to overcome them. Confidence is key to achieving success.
The Realization That Changed Everything
During my free mini training, one participant stood out. She completed an exercise designed to show you that you’re capable of much more than you believe. Her reaction? She realized she had been keeping herself small out of fear of what others might think. This realization hit her so deeply that it brought her to tears.
Many of us are like this—we hold ourselves back without even knowing it. Awareness is the first step to change. Once you’re aware, you can make choices. Without awareness, you’re stuck repeating the same patterns.
Confidence is key in Moving Forward
After the mini training, I had a one-on-one Zoom call with her. I asked, “What do you want?” She couldn’t answer. Instead, she focused on what she didn’t want. I understood her struggle—I’ve been there myself. But here’s the truth:
If you can’t articulate what you want, it’s nearly impossible to achieve it. Confidence starts with believing in the possibility, even if you don’t know the “how” or the “what” yet.
Why Self-Belief is Non-Negotiable
As a coach, my confidance is not important. But if you have even a glimmer of belief in yourself, I can help you grow it. Confidence doesn’t mean knowing all the steps—it’s trusting that you can figure them out along the way.
If you don’t believe in yourself, it’s not about right or wrong. It simply means you have other work to do first. Confidence is the foundation for creating change and achieving your goals.
A Powerful Exercise to Break Through Self-Sabotage
In my mini training, I guide participants through a simple but impactful exercise. It’s designed to show you your potential in a way you’ve likely never experienced before. It’s empowering, emotional, and eye-opening. If you’d like to experience it for yourself, visit forfemaleleaders.com to join the next session. It’s free, and we’ll meet online.
